Fundraising can be draining and - let’s be real - we are working within a broken system.

Funds are not distributed equally, reparations are not paid, and philanthropy is paternalistic.

But our Fundraising & Community-Resource Specialist Phoebe is determined to get as much income to social justice organisations as possible.

Within Tend Toward Justice, Phoebe supports organisations to secure the funding they need to grow, adapt, or sustain their work.

She develops tailored funding strategies, guides groups through complex funding environments, and offers access support for people navigating funder processes, including those with specific access needs.

She especially aims to support marginalised groups and justice-led projects, helping them access resources that might otherwise be out of reach — so that creative, activist or social-justice work can get the funding it should have.

Phoebe has been fundraising with a wide range of organisations for a long time and the real evidence of her impact is the relationships she has built.

Contact us if you need support with creating a sustainable fundraising strategy, a ‘pipeline’ of potential prospects, or just need to get some funding applications out the door.

“Phoebe was integral to securing a game-changing funding for Everyday Plastic, with £1.5m awarded over 4 years. Sometimes starting applications is the hardest part, and Phoebe was able to remove that barrier and get words on to the page really fast, as well as grasping the organisational voice, vision, mission and objectives really easily. Not only that, but she put forward great ideas that remained in the final proposal.

Phoebe is hyper efficient and has that ability to get a lot done in a short space of time! She is patient, relaxed, supportive and experienced, vital traits needed when working with small charities!”
